Citizen Exceed Grand Complication

This is not a review, but a short write-up loaded with scans on one of my acquisitions during my recent trip to Kyoto, Japan (Feb - Mar 2003). I first saw the watch in person during my 2001 Japan trip in a small watch store in Okachimachi, Ueno. Although, it was first introduced in 2000 by Citizen, this watch was rarely discussed in internet watch forums, that could partly due to its quartz movement. Over the last 2 years, since purchasing a Grand Seiko Quartz, I have begun to appreciate quartz watches better. Seiya Kobayashi helped me in searching for this NIB beauty and without hestitation, I sent the payment by Paypal almost immediately when I heard from him about the availability. The watch reached me in Kyoto about 3 days after that. Here are some information about the watch:
Retail price: 120,000 Yen
Movement: Citizen quartz Cal. 6770.
Accuracy: Within + 20 seconds per month on average (when worn at normal temperatures (5 - 35oC).
Display functions: Time: Hours, minutes, seconds and 24 hour clock; Calendar: Year, month, date, day, moonphase; Chrongraph: 12 hour time measurement, 1/4 second units, split time measurement function.
Additional functions: Calendar: Leap year and monthly correction function; moonphase: graphic wheel display function; Chime function; Reference position failure alarm function; Second hand arbitrary stop function.
Water resistant: up to 50 m.
Battery: Battery no. 280 - 44 (SR927W)
Battery life: 2 years.
